  • French Government Tourist Office Website - has some decent information when you click Paris & Regions and click each region.

  • France Keys has some practical pointers, essentials, info on culture, and maps in addition to all other kinds of good info.

  • Visit-Alsace.com is a website that talks about the Alsace region which is in the north-western part of France where Marjorie's grandmother lives.  It is a really interesting region to visit because of its German influence.  Its been part of Germany a number of times in history and has a real German look to it.  They even speak a German dialect here in addition to French.

  • On discoverfrance.net page, make sure you click on the different parts of the center pictures on the main page.  That is where there is a bunch of the links to other pages.

  • World Travel Guide's page on France has a lot of basic information on France as a country as well as information on the different regions of France.  On the left, you can click on the World City Guide page that will list some of the major cities in France.

  • South of Normandy, along the coastline is the beautiful region Brittany.  Many beautiful fishing villages can be found in this region.

  • Along the Atlantic coast, you find the Poitou-Charentes region which has the beautiful city of La Rochelle in it as well as the very famous Cognac.

  • As well, along the Atlantic coastline is the Western Loire region.  In this region you can find many old chateaux.
